Fahrettin Covut, MD, is a UW Health hematologist and medical oncologist. Dr. Covut provides care for people with a variety of blood disorders and cancers. His research background in blood and lung cancers inspired his interest in treating these conditions.

Dr. Covut believes patient-centered decision-making and compassionate communication lead to the best outcomes. He works closely with each patient, their family and their health care team to provide the right treatment options.

He speaks English and Turkish, which allows him to provide effective care to a wider patient population.

I chose to be an oncologist to make a profound, positive impact on the lives of people with cancer and their families.
