Acerca de

Jenna Wilke, NP, is a UW Health nurse practitioner specializing in medical oncology. She evaluates and treats patients with GI cancers and related conditions or complications.

Jenna works with oncologists (cancer doctors) and other specialists to treat GI cancers. These range from cancers of the esophagus, stomach, liver, gallbladder and pancreas to colorectal (colon and rectum) cancers. Jenna helps patients throughout their cancer journey, from diagnosis through treatment and follow-up care. She specializes in managing symptoms and offering palliative care to ease discomfort during treatment.

Jenna addresses questions or concerns, guiding patients, families and caregivers regarding conditions and treatment choices. Her team includes doctors, nurses, medical assistants, research coordinators and others. They collaborate with specialists, such as nutritionists, psychologists, palliative care experts and pain management specialists to provide the best overall care for their patients.

To help improve cancer care, Jenna is involved in ongoing GI cancer research. She screens volunteers for eligibility to participate in current clinical trials. She also helps research participants with their care needs, including symptom management.

Outside of work, Jenna enjoys staying involved in her sons’ baseball and sporting activities.

I’m inspired by the opportunity to advocate for patients, share their journey and help them find hope, joy and strength along the way.
