Laura Cooney, MD, is reproductive endocrinology and infertility specialist at UW Health and an assistant professor in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at the University of Wisconsin School of Medicine and Public Health. She helps people who are having difficulty conceiving do so successfully through artificial insemination, in vitro fertilization (IVF), cryopreservation (freezing sperm or embryos for future use) and third-party reproduction (using donor eggs and/or sperm).
She has a strong focus on providing all aspects of care to patients with polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS) including her current research which focuses on advancing PCOS understanding and treatment.
Outside of work, Dr. Cooney loves spending time outdoors. She enjoys Wisconsin’s lakes and the abundant opportunities for camping, skiing and hiking.
