Bala Bhagavath, MD, is an infertility doctor and reproductive surgeon at UW Health. He treats patients who are unable to have a family due to general infertility or conditions that can be corrected surgically. He is also a professor at the University of Wisconsin School of Medicine and Public Health, Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology.
As an infertility physician, Dr. Bhagavath treats women for fibroids, endometriosis, uterine polyps, ovarian cysts and other gynecological abnormalities. He has a special interest in minimally invasive surgery to treat these issues. He works to provide the best care options to his patients, knowing that each case is unique and there can be more than one way to help them achieve their goal of having a family.
Dr. Bhagavath believes that all people deserve to have a family regardless of their personal circumstances or orientation. He enjoys listening to his patients and discovering their unique backgrounds and reasons for wanting a child. He sees teamwork and collaboration as the most effective tools to help him provide the best overall patient care.
In his free time, Dr. Bhagavath enjoys bicycling and watching movies.
The most rewarding part of my job is feeling happy that I’ve helped someone. I’m delighted to be part of a patient’s journey to have a family.
