John Kipp, DPT, has a doctorate in physical therapy and is a UW Health physical therapist. He works in the Sports Rehabilitation Clinic at East Madison Hospital. John treats all sports-related injuries and focuses on both the physical and mental health of athletes.
With a special interest in working with swimmers and weightlifters, John performs a biomechanical analysis (study of structure and function) on the athletes he treats so he can provide specialized treatment. He also has a strong focus on rehabilitating athletes with ACL injuries and serves as the coordinator of Spectrum, a three-phase, return-to-sport class focusing on the lower extremities.
John wants to empower his patients with the knowledge and skills they need to independently manage their own health and pain.
I entered the medical profession to provide holistic care and to bridge the gap between rehab and performance in athletes.
