Justine Bruce, MD, is a UW Health medical oncologist. She’s also an associate professor in the Department of Medicine at the University of Wisconsin School of Medicine and Public Health. Dr. Bruce specializes in providing chemotherapy for patients with head and neck cancers. In addition to treating head and neck tumors, she treats cancers that have spread to other parts of the body.
Understanding the emotional challenges of fighting cancer, Dr. Bruce meets patients wherever they are in their journey. She helps them to understand their condition and care plans while adapting to the demands of treatment. She guides families and caregivers as well, sharing ways that they can support loved ones during their cancer care. She informs them about available resources to ease pain and cope with cancer’s psychological effects.
Dr. Bruce leads clinical trials to study innovative drug therapies for improved cancer care. She helps translate scientific lab findings into advanced head and neck cancer treatments. She also educates patients about opportunities to participate in new clinical trials for head and neck cancer.
Outside of work, Dr. Bruce enjoys light hobby farming, raising chickens and archery.
My goal is to provide the best quality treatment and the best quality of life for each patient.
