Providing advanced care and unique support
Through our specialty clinics, we offer specialized care for kids with certain chronic lung and breathing problems.
Through this center, our expert team offers the highest level of care for kids. We help kids transition to adult care and serve adults as well. Our goals are to help people with cystic fibrosis lead fulfilling lives and prevent their disease from progressing.
This clinic treats children with complex airway, lung, digestive tract, sleep, feeding and voice disorders.
Pulmonary hypertension causes high blood pressure in your lungs. It can lead to heart failure. Our clinic specializes in diagnosing and treating this disorder in kids. It also provides support for children and their families.
Children with a tracheostomy — a breathing tube placed in the windpipe through a hole in the neck — have many needs. Our clinic offers one-stop medical care to address them. We work with you to manage your child’s breathing, nutrition and growth, communication needs and more.
We regularly participate in research to find better ways to diagnose and treat lung conditions such as asthma and cystic fibrosis. By participating in our clinical trials, your child may have access to exciting new therapies. You can also help us learn how to provide better care for other children and families dealing with lung disease.
Conditions and treatments
Caring for kids, making breathing easier
From the moment we’re born, all we do depends on being able to breathe. UW Health Kids pulmonology focuses on lung health and breathing disorders in infants, children and teens. Our goal is to help kids breathe well so they can live life to the fullest.
We care for kids with all types of lung disorders. Our team helps families manage conditions such as asthma, intending to prevent attacks. But we also treat more complex conditions that require breathing assistance.
We collaborate with other providers who may have a role in your child’s care. We also work to provide you and your child with education and support.
