Dr. Jacqueline Kruser is a faculty member in the Division of Allergy, Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine within the Department of Medicine. Her clinical focus is adult critical care, including acute respiratory distress syndrome, acute respiratory failure, sepsis, critical care ultrasound, and management of pain, agitation, and delirium in the intensive care unit. She works as a critical care attending in the Trauma and Life Support Center (TLC) at University Hospital. She is board certified in internal medicine, pulmonary medicine, and critical care medicine.

Dr. Kruser is a member of multiple professional societies, including the American Thoracic Society, the American College of Chest Physicians, the Society of Critical Care Medicine, and the Society for Medical Decision Making. She is a health services and outcomes researcher whose research program studies decision making in the intensive care unit, with a specific focus on the interactions between the interprofessional clinical team, patients, and their families. Her research has been supported by the National Health, Lung and Blood Institute at the NIH and the Francis Family Foundation.
