Acerca de

Michael Puricelli, MD, is a UW Health Kids pediatric otolaryngologist and an assistant professor in the Department of Surgery at the University of Wisconsin School of Medicine and Public Health. He treats the full spectrum of ear, nose and throat conditions in children and performs surgical procedures on the head and neck. He has particular interest in hearing loss, chronic ear infections, speech conditions and sleep apnea in children.

As one of the few surgeons in the country to complete fellowships in otology, neurotology and complex pediatric otolaryngology, Dr. Puricelli is skilled in a range of surgical procedures, from foreign body removal and cochlear implantation to tonsillectomy/adenoidectomy and eardrum reconstruction.

As the director of the prenatal airway program, he has a special interest in fetal conditions and works with the ex-utero intrapartum treatment (EXIT) team. He also conducts research to improve care for patients with potential airway obstruction at birth and is working on a devise to improve endoscopic airway interventions.

His care philosophy is to understand the patient’s condition and present options to the patient and family so they can decide what is best for their medical needs.

In his free time, Dr. Puricelli enjoys spending time with his family, gardening and woodworking.

I don't just treat medical conditions; I treat the child.
