About

Sandra Pahnke, PsyD, is a UW Health clinical psychologist who cares for adults with a wide range of mental health concerns.

Sandra’s clinical interests include coping with illness, anxiety and mood-related disorders, binge eating disorder, stress and anger management and adjusting to life transitions. She is trained in cognitive processing therapy for post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) and trauma-related disorders.

Sandra uses cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) in her patient sessions. When appropriate, she also pulls in techniques and principles from other evidence-based modalities such as acceptance and commitment therapy, dialectical behavioral therapy and motivational interviewing.

Sandra has experience working in community mental health and hospital settings, as well as higher levels of care such as partial hospitalization and intensive outpatient programs.

I believe that therapy is a collaborative experience — with each individual being the expert of their own lives.
